We find it a great nice addition to the natural henna products we carry. IT STAINS EVERYTHING! Meaning, use with care. It comes pre-mixed in a toothpaste like tube and is quite simple to use. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN HARMFUL PPD'S, like some you may have heard of. You put in on your desired skin area, wait till it dries and pick it off over a safe area...outside, over the sink (may stain if porcelain). It does not last as long as natural henna mehndi. Usually a few days to a week. The colors are vibrant and fun. The main ingredients in the pre-mixed colored paste are listed below for your information. A little bit of this product goes a long way. You can even dilute it with regular henna powder or pre-mixed tube paste at a ratio of 50/50 and get great color results. The colors we carry are in the pre-made paste are. These ubitiquous chemicals are also used in a variety of commercial applications such as paint colorings, tinting of textiles, printing ink and a myriad of other uses. The first artificial (synthetic) dye, picric acid, was prepared in 1771 from the natural pigment, indigo. Since then a literally thousands of synthetic dyes have been developed. With a few exceptions all synthetic dyes are aromatic organic compounds that can be divided into groups of non-ionic (oil soluble), cationic, and anionic (both water soluble). Although the synthetic dye industry came into being primarily to serve the textile industry, there have been many subsequent applications for these chemicals. The principal acid in wine, tartaric acid is the component that promotes graceful aging and crispness of flavor. One of the by-products of tartaric acid is CREAM OF TARTAR, which is used in baking and candy-making. If you are sensitive to the above ingredients, as with any cosmetic product, do a test patch (usually behind you ear) wait 24 hours. If your not sensitive to tartaric acid, synthetic dyes or natural henna then wash your skin and go for it. You may want to wear gloves or grubby clothes or an apron should you spill some on you. There is no need for the oil (mehndi) to be used. Purchase a fine tipped applicator bottle for very fine line application, 3 tipped, yorker or plastic cone.. Colored Powders available are Dark Brown, Red, Green, Blue, Pink and Violet. These powders are henna based. Meaning that the main ingredient is natural henna powder. Other ingredients include Color Pigments, Super Gum, Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Phosphate Dibasic, Methylperaben, Citric Acid, Benzoic Conchloride. The powders come in a 25 gram double bagged pouch. Simply mix with water into a smooth paste and apply to a stencil or put in your choice of applicator bottles. Makes about 3/4 of a cup. After application, simply let the paste dry and gently flake it off over sink or other safe area. As with all colored products, be careful as to not stain your clothing or carpet. The powder last a bit longer than the pre-mixed paste on the skin. If properly cared for your colored tattoo designs will last 5-10 days.
